Smeg has recently opened its first showroom in Mexico City. The event was attended by representatives of the Italian diplomatic corps, important names from the world of design and architecture, influencers, chefs and brand clients. The new exhibition space is an area of over 300 m2, that harmonically combines iconic articles boasting the pop aesthetics of the 50s and modern, minimalist product lines. This new space, located in the heart of Colonia Roma, will allow visitors to explore Smeg products and their most recent innovations and will be a stage for shows, cookery classes and many other activities that will help to present the broad range of possibilities brought about by these products, which combine functionality, technology and design.
The event included the participation of artist Claudio Limón, a Mexican icon in the fields of illustration and design, who captured, through his intervention on one of Smeg products, the convergence of the Italian and Mexican cultures.
