The two big North Korean colossal of home appliances and consumer electronics, Samsung and Lg, are going to expand their production in the United States. Samsung Electronics announced the project of invest about 380 million dollar to build a new home appliance manufacturing plant in South Carolina. According to the company, this new plant is expected to generate 954 local jobs by 2020.

In March, instead, also Lg Electronics announced the intention of open a250 million dollar factory in Tennessee.
