The Philips Museum presents the exhibition ‘75 Years of Philips shavers’. Over the years the appliance, invented by the Philips’ engineer Alexandre Horowitz, became one of the company’s most successful products. By means of historical appliances, advertising posters, films and photos, the exhibition gives a unique overview of Philips shavers from 1939 onwards. The exhibition also features unusual models, such as initial prototypes and several rare ’special editions’. The exhibition can be visited in the Philips Museum to 4 January 2015.
From 18 to 26 October 2014, Philips will also be protagonist of the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. This annual event will offer designers an international platform and introduces the public to the infinite possibilities of design in a setting with a festival feel. The theme guiding this edition is: ‘UP’. Philips will be present with a Design Health Hackaton, organized in the Philips Museum.
