Kitchen, if spacious and comfortable, becomes the heart of the house, especially during Christmas period when relatives and friends are welcomed to share lunches and dinners. Diesel Social Kitchen by Scavolini was born with the intention of combining the pleasure of food preparation with the pleasure of relationships. The result of the synergy between Scavolini and Diesel, this kitchen is modern in the design and modularity of its elements, but at the same time is characterized by the vintage spirit – declined in the materials, treatments and finishes – which has always been part of Diesel’s DNA.
Space for sociability
Diesel Social Kitchen intends to create not only a functional environment, but also a space suitable for sharing. From a stylistic point of view, the character of the project is defined by important volumes and natural and essential materials – aged with special vintage treatments – such as wood, steel and glass worked together with metal. Doors are characterized by the choice of oak, treated in such a way as to convey a knotty, natural effect to the eye and to the touch. Glass doors are also available, proposed with a metal mesh, for a “retro” effect. Also important are the handles, of various types, in “used” effect metal, such as the American” style big handle that characterizes the refrigerator. The idea is to create a “lived-in” environment, which mixes a vintage soul with industrial-inspired details. As for the design, the kitchen is built not only on the modularity of the individual elements, but also on separate modules that can be freely assembled together, such as trolleys, tables and storage elements. As far as household appliances are concerned, among the various possibilities offered by the different configurations, there is for example the induction hob with the hood integrated into the wall unit and the oven under the hob, or the gas hob integrated into the island with the burners arranged in line, the industrial-style hood and the column oven, or the composition with four built-in appliances arranged in two columns side by side.
