Stefan Koss is the new president and CEO Region North America of BSH Home Appliances Corporation where he is responsible for driving the company’s growth and managing business operations. Koss most recently served as VP Controlling, M&A and Risk Management, Corporate, at Global Headquarters Robert Bosch GmbH, parent company of BSH Home Appliances Group. He began his career in the management program at BSH Home Appliances’ corporate office in Munich gaining cross-functional commercial training and exposure across various divisions and sites. His BSH tenure also includes a variety of strategic leadership and business administration roles in several regions including Europe, China, and North America.

Koss’ previous North America positions include Director of Business Administration for US Manufacturing Operations in New Bern, NC, from 2006 to 2009 where he played a pivotal role in transforming the manufacturing facility from an engineering-centric location to a market-oriented, sustainable organization. He then moved to the Region North America headquarters in Irvine, CA, from 2009 to 2012, serving as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, where he was responsible for overall business support and governance.

In his new position, Koss also serves on the Board of Management for Region North American, joining Jesus Egido, Chief Financial Officer, as well as Chief Technology Officer Andy MacLaren, both longtime BSH executives with 25 and 21 years of service respectively. «We are honored to have Mr. Koss join BSH Home Appliances Corporation, Region North America, as president and CEO and lead our organization’s growth – Egido said -. Gerhard Dambach is the new CFO and Labor Relations Director of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH. He will be the Board of Management member responsible for finance and the North America region. The holder of a Ph.D. in industrial engineering has worked for the Bosch Group since 1993, holding various positions, including managerial ones, in finance and controlling. In his most recent post, he was the CEO of the Italian Bosch subsidiary with responsibility for the Italy and Greece regions. He is also the current President of the German-Italian Chamber of Commerce.
As a member of the BSH Board of Management, Dambach is responsible for finance and controlling and serves as the Group’s Labor Relations Director. His remit also includes the BSH region of North America (United States and Canada). The 56-year-old father completed his study of industrial engineering at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences in 1988. After that, he earned a Ph.D. there at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

BSH Home Appliances has nearly doubled its capacity of its Central Distribution Center (CDC) facility in New Bern, North Carolina. The opening ceremony was attended by the company employees and executives, such as the COO Russell Dorsten and the CFO Kai Schricke, and by local dignitaries. The new CDC adds about 359,000 square feet to the current facility that has grown from 595,000 sq. ft. to 954,000 sq. The operation responds to the BSH Home Appliance plans to increase its presence in this area, also shown with the recent expansion of the dishwasher manufacturing facility. In North Carolina the company employs over 1,100 people. The BSH CDC stores and ships products of some of the most important BSH brands, as Gaggenau, Thermador and Bosch.
