The Sophie hood, model of the Falmec Circle.Tech collection, is now available in the Sophie Lamp version, a true decorative suspension lamp. Lighting is, in fact, an important theme for Falmec that designs solutions with a careful eye on the relationship between light, design and functionality. Like the hood, Sophie Lamp is made of painted steel and encloses a 4200K LED light source in the tempered glass cover for a pleasant atmosphere that embraces the environment with its natural light.
Sophie Lamp is available in two different diameters, 54 cm and 22 cm, to be chosen according to the needs. In addition to the classic black and white shades, the lamp can be requested in pewter, anthracite, antique copper and antique brass finishes for new combinations.

Nimbus goes on creating sophisticated wireless lighting solution, lamps that are not connected with wires to ensure freedom of use and many different possibilities of installation. After the launch of Roxanne Fly and Roxanne Leggera CL, the range of Nimbus mobile lamps expands with Winglet CL and Gravity CL. Born from a project by Rupert Kopp, they are inspired by the ultra-thin structure of smartphones and PC tablet.

Winglet CL is particularly ideal in the living areas, while Gravity CL can be placed as pendant in the ceiling to create a personal lighting solution for example for a dining table or a desk. Both are secured with a magnetic mount to the wall or ceiling and can be managed from anywhere in the room through a wireless control system.

Philips reports Q1 comparable sales growth of 3% to 5.5 billion euro and a 14% improvement in adjusted EBITA to 374 million euro. Kartell, Italian brand of design interior decor, has recently opened its first Flagship Store in the United Kingdom, just in London. The new location stands on one of the busiest major thoroughfares of the British capital at 223 Brompton Road on the corner of Egerton Terrace. The collection is being presented in the form of theme flashes, both inside the store and featured in the 5 large display windows. Kartell present to the English market all its ranges of furnishings, tableware, lighting, fragrances, bathroom fittings and fashion accessories: a new concept designed to present the multifaceted Kartell lifestyle and the Italian design. This is considered a fundamental step in the sales expansion strategy pursued by the company, which can now count on a solid new platform for dialoguing with an increasingly international and cosmopolitan public.

From 2 to 30 April at the Triennale Exhibition in Milan, Foscarini celebrates the 25 years of Lumiere, the design lamp designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. This evergreen model will be presented through 26 screens that tell the world of the past 25 years: a quarter of a century interested by epochal changes. At Milan Triennale the video installation ‘Anni Luce’ will be presented at (project Installation: Elisa Ossino Contents by Michele Calzavara). Foscarini is an Italian company of lighting design, that offers a wide range of sophisticated lamps, realized with innovative shapes and materials.

One of the most interesting product of iGuzzini, Italian company of indoor and outdoor lighting design, is Gem, a pendant luminaire for indirect/direct lighting. Luminaires have two polycarbonate shells with a partial satin-finish. They are closed with special supports that are hooked to suspension cables (ordered separately as accessories).The joint between the two shells is water-tight thanks to a silicone gasket located around the light distribution perimeter and by a M12x1.5 nickel-plated brass cable-clamp for the exit of the power cable. An aluminium support plate houses the light source and the control gear box. Suspension cables are equipped with a system for highly precise adjustments.

Foscarini, Italian brand of design lighting and lamps, will take part to the Design Shanghai Fair, where an installation by Ferruccio Laviani narrates the company’s universe at Booth CG-145. At the Shanghai Exhibition Center, from 9 to 12 March 2016, Foscarini will offer visitors a walking through experience: an hypnotic sequence of metal structures that will invite people to enter in a space where the most iconic Foscarini pieces are displayed. Design Shanghai is one of the most important international design events in Asia, showcasing big design brands from across the globe. In 2015, the show received 42,000 visitors and recorded the presence of over 300 participating brands.

Troag, a Foscarini’s lamp designed by Luca Nichetto, is now available in a new trendy version and will be displayed during the next edition of  the Stockholm Forniture Fair (9-14 February). This model is inspired by a wooden bowl typical of the Scandinavian tradition, a familiar object re-contextualized with creativity, technological contents and all the Italian care. In addition to the natural and black finishes, the pendant lamp is available now in a white version, that emphasizes the Nordic inspiration and the essential lines. This style responds to the modern furniture trends and makes the model, realized in three different sizes, ideal for all environment, from the kitchen to the dining room, until the home-office.

Foscarini, Italian brand of design lamps and lighting solutions will present its collection at the next edition of Stockholm Furniture Fair, the event that will take place from 9 to 13 February 2016. The company will exhibit with an high emotional impact installation designed by Ferruccio Laviani. An architecture aiming at telling a brand story will offer a “walking through” experience among the most iconic Foscarini lamps. The Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair is organized during the Stockholm Design Week, one of the world’s largest meeting place for Scandinavian Design. The Fair attracts around 40,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors from all around the world. The entire city of Stockholm gets involved. During Stockholm Design Week the city is filled with high-profile design events, showrooms and exhibitions all week long.
