Wall by Baraldi is equipped with the AirO’ module, which uses plasma technology to enrich the air with negative ions that are beneficial for health. The leaf sensor that monitors the air
Marilyn E.ion is one of the Falmec hoods equipped with the E.ion System. This technology, through controlled bipolar ionization, eliminates odors and restores air quality. The leaf-shaped sensor detects the presence of volatile organic compounds, odorous gases, formaldehyde, cigarette smoke and all pollutants present in the air: depending on the environmental conditions it changes color (from yellow to green) and, if necessary, activates the hood automatically so that the air is purified. Not only. AirMate, the intelligent system of FIM
The AirMate system, which distinguishes the Canopo AirMate hood by FIM, automates both ventilation and lighting, as well as offering a smart home and smartphone integration via the appropriate app with which user can constantly monitor the state of the air in the kitchen. The appliance is equipped with 11 sensors that measure a series of parameters, such as fine particles (PM2.5), total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), CO2, humidity, temperature etc. Using a variety of complex algorithms, the hood is able to guarantee optimal ventilation by regulating the extraction speed and thus ensuring an odor-free cooking, minimal noise levels, reduced energy consumption and indoor air quality. Hood, chandelier and even a piece of furniture: Globe by Uniqa (BS Service Group) was born from the desire to offer a technological product in an original and precious form. It integrates suction and lighting in a single appliance, with a design that makes it a distinctive element in the kitchen.

The aesthetic part is made of ceramic spheres, hand-crafted with craftsmanship in different finishes (gold, mother-of-pearl, etc.). This art of hand-made know-how is the characteristic trait of the brand, which combines experience and creativity, using unusual materials in the field of household appliances: noble metals, glazed majolica, ceramics, worked crystals and metal meshes that become filters and decoration in the same time. In combination with induction
The induction hob is a product increasingly chosen by consumers. However, this cooking method can generate the formation of condensation and annoying water drops falling from the hood. To facilitate the use of this appliance in combination with induction, Baraldi has developed the drydrop technology: thanks to a controlled thermal system, the lower panel of the hood heats up, preventing the formation of condensation on the surface.

Furthermore, a spongy filter collects the fumes and vapors sucked in, blocking the residual condensation which, even if it falls back, is collected in a tray inside the hood. The bottom of this compartment is then heated in turn and causes any remaining water to evaporate. The system does not require containers to be emptied, can be activated when necessary and switches off automatically thanks to a timer. The Profile hood for wall unit is one of the Baraldi products that integrate drydrop technology.

The hood as an “element”
Monolith by Falmec belongs to the Elements collection, which interprets the extraction element in an innovative key: it becomes part of a modular, multifunctional architecture integrated into the kitchen project. The system consists of a 90 cm extraction element and 30, 60 or 90 cm container modules (which can be placed on the right or left), which allow to obtain a functional and personalized set-up.

The result is an equipped channel that can accommodate ladles, spices, knives, cutting boards and other utensils, as well as electrical outlets. The extraction module opens slightly to allow access to the hood functions control and the lighting, allowing fumes extraction. Elica, the Italian producer of kitchen hoods and extraction systems nominated Fabrizio Ghisla as general manager of Emc Fime, European company in the design and production of electric motors for household appliances and heating boilers, which has also entered the hydrogen market this year with its Premix fan line.

Elica, Italian producer of kitchen hoods and electric motors for household appliances and heating boilers, is taking yet another step towards renewable energy and more sustainable production. After announcing last January the attainment of a suitability certification for hydrogen operation of motors manufactured in its subsidiary company EMC FIME, Elica has been continuing in its path towards environmental impact reduction, thanks to a new electrical energy supply agreement stipulated with Iberdrola, one of the world leaders in renewable energy.

For 2022 this choice will allow the company to reduce its own emissions by over 4,000 tons in Italy, which equals to 20% of the total emissions of the Group. Elica Group generates a turnover of over 500 million euros, with a production platform spread out over seven sites including, Italy, Poland, Mexico and China, employing over 3,200 employees. In Italy, where most of its high-end products are manufactured, the company uses about 50.4% of the energy consumed by the whole Group.

The innovative Steam Off System (SOS) is only one of the plusses offered by the new cooking solution by Faber. The Italian company specialized in the manufacturing of kitchen hoods, has launched also very innovative induction hobs with integrated suction system, such as Galileo, that also offers an advanced system that delivers air jets in several different directions, and at varying speeds. In this way, steam and fumes created during the cooking process are interrupted by these cooling jets of air, preventing condensation before it gets a chance to develop.
Condensation effect, in fact, are often typical of the use of induction: it is a result of the colder air that develops under the hood meeting the hot pot and its ingredients. But the Faber Steam Off System represents an effective solution to this problem.
In the future, induction hobs will be more and more common in the houses. This technology consists in flat cooking plates that are charged with electric current, creating an electromagnetic field that heats the contents of pans. The field is activated only when the bottom of the pan makes contact with the electrically charged plate and this guarantees more safety in the kitchen, reducing eventual accident.
