Kartell has organized in New York with a special edition of the Talking Minds Project, demonstrating its various ways of thinking and designing. From 14 to 17 May, the windows of the Greene street showroom has presented the latest products as a journey through the “talking minds” of the creators who helped make Kartell’s modern vision of living tangible and concrete through their products: a spotlight on the latest products through videos telling their designers’ stories (Antonio Citterio, Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni, Alessandro Mendini, Patricia Urquiola, Tokujin Yoshioka). Kartell also announced that on 3 August, Casa Italia, the Italian athletes’ village for Rio 2016, will be opened in the West Zone’s Joà neighbourhood: the company will furnish this captivating location, linked to dry land by a 98-metre-long bridge, by providing Louis Ghost and Comback chairs.
