The Atelier kitchen by Abimis has been installed in an exclusive home in Milan. The kitchen occupies the upper floor of the house, characterized by a large living space divided into two distinct areas: one intended for ‘social activities’, such as receiving guests and organizing dinners, parties or events, and the other, more intimate and intimate, dedicated to the family. Atelier presents itself here as an element of union between the two environments. The great peculiarity of the concept is represented by the fact that the entire kitchen environment is made of stainless steel, including the walls, floor and ceiling, painted in an intense shade of red and interrupted by LED light lines. This design choice was intended to ensure maximum hygiene, suggesting a formal and conceptual reference to the kitchens of large hospitality structures.

The Abimis kitchen, built entirely in AISI 304 stainless steel, with a clean and tidy aesthetic, is totally custom. It is an ergonomic, functional and high-performance solution, structured to meet the needs of the most demanding chef.

The kitchen is configured in two distinct areas: an operational one, characterized by a satin finish which makes the surface opaque and slightly reflective, and a service one that ‘communicates’ with the first thanks to a practical serving hatch that extends to the living area. The operational part, in addition to including the washing area and the work space, is equipped with the most advanced professional technologies for cooking, preparing, preserving and refrigerating food, thanks also to Sub Zero & Wolf appliances by Frigo2000.

The Abimis showroom in Milan has been renewed in occasion of the latest edition of Fuorisalone, during which the company presented an original set-up featuring the Ego, Atelier and ÀTRIA lines in all their different configurations, together with a system of hand-orbitally polished steel columns, suggesting the possibility for completing Abimis kitchens.

The Ego kitchen, with its typical rounded doors, is now presented in an elegant island version, with a special polished mirror finish, which makes the AISI 304 stainless steel extraordinarily bright and shiny. The mirror finish creates plays on light, reflections and suggestions that transform Ego into a really spectacular element.

Atelier, with its essential, rigorous and formal design, is available in a wall mounted version with a compact structure, in the new and sophisticated burnished finish, a special colour that changes shade according to how the light falls on it, giving a refined and contemporary aesthetic effect to the kitchen and revealing a special expression of texture.

Finally ÀTRIA (design Studio Delineo and Massimo Rosati), the first Abimis kitchen specifically designed for outdoor living and 100% customisable, is available in a wall mounted version that highlights the distinctive features of the concept: a steel kitchen with clean lines and harmonious proportions, defined by plays on volume and original alternations of full and empty.

The Ego, Atelier and ÀTRIA kitchens can be painted in any RAL shade, glossy or matt, using the same techniques used in the automotive sector, so as to be able to achieve the exact colour desired by the customer.

An Abimis kitchen was chosen for a 200 square meters terrace of a ‘farm’ 2.0 in a private house in Toronto. The space was conceived as a real open-air ‘floor’ to be experienced, equipped with glass protection to shelter from the wind and a bioclimatic veranda. It is equipped with kitchen, living area, dining room and maxi outdoor TV.

The owners, together with the designer, chose a kitchen from the Atelier line, custom-built by Abimis to satisfy the various practical and aesthetic needs and, above all, respecting the architectural language of the context. Made entirely of AISI 316 stainless steel – an ideal alloy for outdoor cooking, as it makes the kitchen resistant to temperature variations, bad weather or environmental corrosion damage, it is biologically neutral, therefore antibacterial, hygienic and easy to clean – in the sophisticated Scotch Brite finish.

Its configuration sees two blocks, of the same size, divided by the column that supports the roof, separating their functions: the module on the right is complete with storage compartments, refrigerators, and a worktop approximately 3 meters long, while the one on the left houses the cooking and washing area, as well as an imposing central barbecue in American style.

Among the recent project of Abimis, one was carried on in a private house in the historic town of Civita di Bagnoregio (Lazio, Italy). The refurbishe house was characterized by interiors made of stone arches, plaster and floors featuring a textured finish and sand colours that create a continuity of atmosphere with the external architecture.

For this environment an Atelier kitchen was fitted in the new burnished stainless steel finish, to match the warm hues of the setting. The living room shares the same space as the kitchen, which has been wisely arranged along a wall separated into two units placed side-by-side: on one side a cooking block with an induction hob and an oven, and on the other the washing area and top dedicated to preparing dishes.

Everything is highly functional, and the clean-cut and minimal design of the Atelier model embellishes the surroundings. The result is a combination of technology and styling plied in stainless steel.

At Ormelle, near Treviso (Italy), very close to its headquarters, Abimis opens the doors of its new ‘residence‘, an exhibition space that was born from the desire to describe the contemporary kitchen according to Abimis, the design flexibility that has always characterizes its indoor and outdoor creations.

Among them. Ego and Atelier are the first domestic kitchens entirely produced in AISI 304 or 316 steel of professional derivation. The Abimis brand was born, in fact, from the experience of Prisma, a company that for 40 years has been manufacturing professional kitchens, equipment and furnishing elements in steel. The two lines of Abimis, followed by Àtria, offer the performance and functionality typical of professional kitchens, all with a ‘heart’ in stainless steel, but characterized by different construction types that give them a unique and recognizable aesthetic.

The set-up of the showroom, conceived as an elegant and bright open space, was deisgned not only to display the characteristic style of the Ego and Atelier lines – and the brand new Àtria – but to reveal the brand’s ability to create configurations that are always different, elegant, welcoming and convivial, in an environment that recreates that sense of welcome and pleasantness typical of the domestic space.

Ego, Atelier and Àtria, in the versions chosen to furnish the new Abimis ‘home’, suggest the possibilities that the company offers to ‘design’ the kitchen around the needs and people habits, defining it in every aspect and detail, from the size to the shape, from the material to the finish, from the positioning of the worktop, cooking and washing to that of the appliances.

A few kilometers from the center of Paris, there is a farmhouse of the 17th century, formerly destined for the use of “depandance” of the palace of Versailles. It has been recently renovated to become a luxurious and comfortable residence with a project begun with the renovation of the chateau-style farmhouse and curated by the French architect Julie Smith. The ambition at the base was to respect and maintain all the historical characteristics of the building, both from the structural point of view and from the interior one. The furnishings have in fact been carefully selected to create a mix of French antiques and Italian design with a more contemporary taste that have created a fascinating contrast between ancient and ultra-modern.
The owner’s desire was to make the kitchen the protagonist of the living environment, a comfortable and convivial place where it is possible to carry out the actions with fluidity and speed. To exalt this environment even more, the elegance of Abelim’s ATELIER was selected. The architect has chosen to place a large rectangular steel module with storage space at the center of the kitchen, which offers a large stone support surface, which can also be used as a table if necessary.
The block used for cooking was instead flanked to the ancient stone sink and to increase the functionality of the space, the beliefs and sideboards of the nineteenth century, were also covered with Abimis steel tops, and others embellished with use of pietra serena.

The Atelier model by Abimis is characterized by its geometrically balanced, rigorous look, with a strong appeal to the world of professional catering. This model has been installed in Vicenza, in an attic where the different materials used (steel, wood, stone) has created a very modern and sophisticated style. The kitchen, in AISI 304stainless steel, extends along most of the perimeter of the attic, whose slightly pentagonal shape (with obtuse corners) has necessarily imposed on the designer to make a custom kitchen. The total absence of joining marks, eliminated on site during the assembly phase, as well as the brightness of the surfaces, which interacts well with the natural light that penetrates from the large windows and the skylight, help to lengthen the room’s perspective, dilating it and giving the impression that the room is even wider. In this regard, also the kitchen doors contribute, which partially reflect the interesting hexagonal tiled floor, in shades of gray.
The horizontal oak surfaces, like the two shelves and the peninsula table, tailored-made, finally give the room a warmth, dampening its obviously contemporary look. The Atelier kitchen is also ergonomics, functional and easy to clean, offering a very practical solution to cooking lovers.

A completely equipped and functional kitchen that offers to the users everything he needs to cook, like a real chef in a restaurant. This is the philosophy of Abimis that adds to the Ego and Atelier models all the objects and accessories to ensure a comfortable and professional cooking experience. Appliances, furniture and other kitchen tools can be found now in the showrooms that propose the brand products. Abimis has adopted, also for the furniture intended for a domestic setting, the Gastronorm system that provides a standard size for containers, trays and machines normally used by professional catering, making the food preparation easier and efficient.
