The Oasi project designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti for Aran Cucine enters in the selection of the ADI Design Index 2023. Edited by the Association for Industrial Design (ADI) in Italy, the volume brings together the essentiality of Italian design through a careful selection of products and projects that compete for the Compasso d’Oro Award, the most authoritative global design competition since 1954.

The presence in the ADI Design Index yearbooks, in addition to recognition for the excellence of the sector, represents a stage of the Compasso d’Oro Award which Aran Cucine approaches with Oasi, the experimental kitchen module characterized by the presence of a tree at the center of the island and wall-mounted composition  to exploit the verticality of the environment.

Following the principle of circularity, it is possible to rotate around the free-standing cell to appreciate what for Aran Cucine becomes the emblem of the so-called slow life: all the phases of food processing – from conservation to preparation, up to consumption and its recycling – and daily activities are facilitated by this new domestic architecture.

With the Rigoletto doors Aran Cucine proposes solutions characterized by the presence of wood, an evergreen and elegant tendency. Declined in the shades of its essences, the elegance of wood moves away from tradition to meet the contemporaneity of the LAB13 line. In this new composition, the return of wood results in the scenic immediacy of the Rigoletto Plus door in natural American Walnut chosen for base cabinets – with black aluminum groove – and for tall units – equipped with push & pull opening.

Grooves, vertical and regular, obtained from the slat wood working, offer dynamism and rhythm to the apparently linear distribution of the LAB13 model. The clear and simple design plays with different heights that give movement to the cooking and washing areas. This last hosts the Dialogo kitchen sink that, with the multifunctional equipped tray, approaches to awork station tailored idea built to facilitate daily activities.

Born from Aran Cucine expertise, the new LAB13 model with Rigoletto door is characterized by the combinations of different materials: the Magellan stone ware top expands in fulll ength and height on the washing area wall, not only as backrest but creating a real mural. A touch of contemporary chromatism is embodied by the wall cabinets, lacquered in metallic liquid lead, designed with a flap opening system to organize kitchen utensils or useful ingredients. A linear disposition continues over the cooking area with a wall system, always characterized by the presence of the Rigoletto door, ready to give space to the oven and microwave, both recessed, to have –especially during preparing and cooking – all the necessary at your finger tips.

The evolution of Aran Lab13 continues in the refinement of materials and in the choice of minimal lines. The new Lab13 invite is to guarantee more ease and practicality in a place where the whole family can share moments of everyday life. An invite that is reflected in the more and more sustainable choice of the Made in Italy by Aran Cucine: quality and expertise are the keys through which the Abruzzan company continues to portray the kitchen as an open laboratory.

To accommodate all the guests, the kitchen features a central island composed by two blocks: one, squared and monolithic, dedicated to the wash area with a single-bowl sink integrated into the Gres Barro Satin worktop, and the other of the same size designed as a cooking area with the induction hob. The linearity of the two monoblocs is interrupted by the wooden snack area, positioned in the middle but slightly below.

Eucalyptus and Gres Barro Satin, used for the worktops, and the Ewood Oak wood of the rectangular support surface here presented with truly comfortable dimensionscreate an attractive dialogue between materials. The snack structure undermines the American imaginary to fully enter within the Italian tradition reality, offering a conviviality place for the whole family to create an “unique space”.

From March18 to 26, Aran Cucine will take part at CASAIDEA2023, inside the new fair of Rome, together with Cucine & Tendenze, one of the first ARAN Cucine Store opened in Rome. Green and innovative materials are the protagonists of this new CASAIDEA edition that, also this year, wants to give space to the best of the Made in Italy living. Concepts that embrace actions and behaviours ,that can be translated into codes and procedures functional to the realization of products that mirror environmental ethical choices, without setting aside the human well-being.

Aran Cucine and Cucine & Tendenze have taken up the challenge participating with a Stand in the Pavillion dedicated to the Design & Lifestyle with proposals that tell the approach of the Abruzzan company towards the imperative themes that every furnishing and design company must face nowadays. Ecological and innovative materials have been selected for the kitchens exposed at CASAIDEA2023: from Scacco Matto, that reveals a conscious design in all its functionality to simplify every activity and give maximum comfort to the cooks – combining space and use –, to Erikain LPL and Penelope in HPL laminate, that continue to explore the “less is more” mantra, so crucial for the Abruzzan company.

Considering the kitchen as a tribute to the polyhedric Italian style, as the name itself echoes, Vita Bella is the promoter of a joyful saper vivere, in harmony with the surroundings. To be once again under the spotlight of this model is the HPL laminate, that with its composition in cellulosic fibre transforms itself in the perfect ally in terms of practicality and durability over time. Finally Mia that, with its freshness, has been designed to unveil some more details of those who choose it by the wide range of solutions and finishes available for thedoors: smooth or plain, with groove handle or push&pull. Also the LAB 13 family will widen in CASAIDEA 2023. With the restyling signed by Ulisse Narcisi, together with the “tailor-made” concept, continues the Aran direction towards an idea of laboratory to fill with the passion.

Guadalupeis is the new Aran Cucine kitchen designed thinking about the family’s needs. A vision of the Abruzzan company to make the domestic dimension even more people-friendly, starting loud and clear with its name: Guadalupe, in fact, is a personal name of Spanish origins. Its meaning echoes life and boldness, and it is associated with love, affinity and gathering. All elements that are once again protagonists in a space to live –the kitchen– which tells itself in the linear disposition of the cooking area.

In this composition, the central area, surrounded on the left from the snack zone in E:wood and on the right from the equipped wall system with two ovens and a built-in fridge, suggests the necessary presence of people. Here, the overlook on the entire space meets the core of the configuration that, in Guadalupe, is not in the structure of the kitchen but in the free space which remains–free but never empty.

To reveal all the modernity of the Aran Cucine Made Italy are the details of the Groove handles in titanium metal, deliberately big, together with the marble back splash and the considerable dimensions of the volumes. Moreover, in Guadalupe the maximum customization is ensured, thanks to a wide catalogue, offers many possibilities of finishes and materials capable of satisfying the needs of those invited to live this space, in a very personal and unique way. The interiors, articulated by storage functions and well-organized spaces, reflect a tailor-made kitchen project that interprets the needs of the modern families and that adapt itself to a philosophy of contemporary living.

The LAB13 family of Aran Cucine presents its new entry: the new restyling by Ulisse Narcisi. Starting from the base module of 78 cm and from one key characteristic of the LAB13 collection – the adaptability of the worktop at different heights – the capacity is more than 30% for wall cabinets and 15% for base cabinets also in this version.

With Scacco Matto, the bichromatic solution with 6 LPL color combinations and a horseshoe structure, the working area is divided between the wall unity, which houses the induction hob, and the peninsula, with a single-bowl sink in black fragranite. To link the two worktops in grey gres, Pietra Piasentina, is there the built-in equipped wall system. Also for this model, the storage capacity – increased by the 13 cm modules dimensions – is emphasized by the possible customizations of colors and finishes. The chromatic harmony matched with the materials alternation, indeed, allows to combine the home environment space with its use.

Aran Cucine will partecipate at Esprit Cuisine Fair (part of EspritMeuble), that will be held in Paris from 19 to 22 november 2022. This year the event is innovating and creating for the first time a “village”, dedicated exclusively to the world of the kitchen in the heart of the living room, and thus create a link with the world of furniture. For the occasion, Aran Cucine will display CUCINAnD’O, the project by the chef Davide Oldani.

CUCINAnD’O melts two keywords: cucina (kitchen) and D’O, the famous restaurant of Davide Oldani in Cornaredo, in the province of Milan, who thought this kitchen, designed in collaboration with Attila Veress. The model represents his philosophy of pop cuisine: quality and sustainability are the underpinnings of the domestic architecture created by the Milan-born chef.

The minimal design of the central island block underlines the attention to the intelligent consumption, that Oldani himself promotesthrough an idea of waste-free cuisine, based on a simple principle: to avoid the excesses, it is necessary not to produce them. The definition and distribution of all the CUCINAnD’O spaces mirror the values of a sustainable kitchen, capable of involving and awakening those who personally live these spaces.

The eliminate excess philosophy is reflected into the most operational part, with the induction hobs and the composition of black aluminium shelves integrated into a stainless-steel worktop, but also in the pocket doors that expand all along the kitchen wall, as mark of extreme essentiality. The formal balance and elegance of this structure, grey matt lacquered, allows to take advantage of the convivial space: internally, thanks to an organized division in compartments with pullout shelves and fully integrated drawers and appliances, the conservation of raw materials and the preparation of the dishes are made easier by the possibility to have all the necessary on hand.

Born from the collaboration between Stefano Boeri Architetti and Aran Cucine, Oasi is an innovative project, which interprets the blend between man and nature, inspired by the concept of the Vertical Wood created in Milan. It is a single and essential kitchen/dining area block, which integrates the natural element into a harmonious and at the same time functional whole. At the heart of the project is a fruit tree, located in the center of the block. Starting from the classic layout of the island kitchen, Oasi encloses in a single multifunctional structure, developed around the tree, all the phases of food treatment: storage, washing, preparation, cooking, service, consumption, recycling. Following the “principle of circularity” to allow the correct sequence of processes, the free-standing square-shaped kitchen unit is developed as an articulated technological device in which storage spaces and appliances are inserted (refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, compactor for the waste recycling). Furthermore, a special mechanism allows the sliding of two “wings” on the two symmetrical sides of the block, which thus also turns into a dining table. Finally, the project includes a continuous and controlled irrigation system, which uses the kitchen water system, and an artificial lighting system that integrates the natural one. Oasi allows to combine in an original project the natural element, a source of well-being, and the most modern technologies such as induction cooking and the integrated hood.

Oasi also on the wall
Among the latest innovations proposed by Aran Cucine and Stefano Boeri Architetti, there is the wall version of Oasi, which exploits verticality while maintaining the peculiarity of the natural element integrated into the kitchen project. Wall-mounted Oasi is also suitable for small living areas and provides a unit with simple lines, highlighted by the smooth doors made of oxidized or fossil wood. The structure presents a division of the internal space organized by well-divided storage compartments and large shelves for the pantry and for the appliances. The kitchen allows to grow trees, ornamental or aromatic plants.

The Erika kitchen, a best seller of ARAN Cucine, has been restyled for the next edition of EuroCucina. The brand has followed the the latest furnishing trends, that suggest functional and versatile solutions, clean and reassuring lines, neutral and elegant colors. To meet all tastes and respond to different market needs, ARAN Cucine offers customizable models, capable of adapting to any living context. Erika catalog, in fact, is enriched with new elements, transforming the model into a real ‘furniture system’, with modular solutions and over 41 finishes.
A composition designed to facilitate the movements of those who live it and ensure maximum space optimization without sacrificing design, provides a large multipurpose island, columns and shoulder system. To create a game of full and empty volumes, the large and capacious storage elements alternate with open, decorative and immediately accessible modules. The Jhon doors in black aluminum with gray smoked glass visually lighten the structure of the island block, equipped with the new Move-it snack: a mobile top that slides along the diagonal and that can be a dining table and then be brought back flush with the island, limiting its size. 
But the big news is the introduction of elements with soft and circular lines. The more sinuous version of Erika is in fact characterized by creative and ergonomic solutions: the rigorous design of the columns – with the new vertical handle – and the wall units combined with the Fill bookcase harmonize with the curved peninsula.
